Increase CDC offers occasional (about every two weeks) free orientation sessions to people interested in their activities and free occasional 90-minute "how to start a business" seminars. Increase CDC is also an arranger of Individual Development Accounts (IDA's), and information is available here. Increase CDC had its beginnings as a ministry of Columbus Christian Center; it now operates on its own while retaining informal ties with the Christian Center. Increase CDC also has a loan fund. Although the application process looks a bit difficult for a very small business, a conversation with a staff member at Increase CDC could be useful.
