EBV Foundation: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities

http://www.ebvfoundation.org/index.php?page=ebv-foundation   Contact:  Tia Lachowicz, Director EBV Foundation tia@ebvfoundation.org.  The Foundation's web site says:  "The 'Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities' (EBV) offers cutting edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines disabled as a result of their service supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. The intent of the EBV is to open the door to entrepreneurial opportunity and small business ownership to veterans with disabilities, by developing their competencies in the many steps and activities associated with creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture, and also by helping coordinate efforts with programs and services for veterans and others with disabilities."  The bootcamp is a 9-day crash course in entrepreneurship that is provided free of charge for veterans who apply and are accepted for the program.  Bootcamp takes place at one of 7 university campuses around the US--closest to Ohio are Purdue University and Syracuse University (where the foundation originated).  The program is open to veterans who have served since September 2001
The foundation also has initiated the The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans' Families (EBV-F) which is an education and training program offered by the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.   The EBV-F program integrates training in small business management, with caregiver and family issues, positioning the family member to launch and grow a small business in a way that is complementary or enhancing to other family responsibilities.
